Burning the Bias – Where Bias dies, Edge is born.

Burning the Bias – Where Bias dies, Edge is born.

Hey there, I’m Ash.

For the last 15 years, I’ve lived and breathed tech — building infrastructure, automating deployments, scaling cloud systems. I work as a Cloud and DevOps consultant, and I also run a small IT company called OpsBashAI. My world has been shaped by commits, clusters, and production pipelines.

But now, something new is calling me.

Lately, I find myself thinking less about the next Kubernetes rollout and more about charts — candlesticks, price action, and market behavior. I’m curious about what really moves markets, how human emotion gets baked into every candle, and whether I can learn to navigate all that with clarity.

So I’m starting something new. Quietly. Intentionally.

  • Not to chase fame.
  • Not to pretend I’m an expert.
  • But to explore — and to learn in public.

Trading, for me, is not just about money. It’s a mental mirror. A space where probabilities beat predictions, where discipline matters more than opinions, and where the real edge is emotional control.

That resonates.

I’m 37 — in a phase of life where I’ve built stability, but still have space to take bold bets. I’m giving myself a long runway — until 45 — to see if I can turn this from a structured side project into something more meaningful. Something of my own. Something that gives me freedom from the usual 9-to-5 rhythm.

Why “Burning the Bias”?

Because trading forces you to face yourself.

For most of us, it’s not the strategy that fails — it’s the bias:

  • The fear of missing out.
  • The urge to force trades.
  • The need to be right.
  • The hesitation when it’s time to exit.

So this journal is where I confront that — and burn it down.

I’ve spent years learning, stumbling, and second-guessing. But over the last 7–8 months, I’ve finally found a strategy I trust. I stick to one system, use the same indicators, follow the same rules. And now, I’m seeing consistent profitability — not perfect, but calm, structured, and real.

What This Journal Is — and Isn’t

This isn’t a course or a trading tips blog.
I’m not here to sell anything. I’m here to share.

Burning the Bias will be my weekly trading journal — a space where I document:

  • My entries and exits
  • The logic and mindset behind each trade
  • Mistakes I made
  • Lessons I’m learning
  • Biases I’m trying to burn

If you’re learning to trade while juggling a job, a family, or just life — and you’re tired of hype and noise — you might feel at home here.

We all carry bias. This is where I start letting mine go.

Thanks for being here.

Let’s trade with intention.
Let’s learn without ego.
